30 young teens attend the Tameja Basico School each weekday afternoon. TEACH funds one of the two teachers. Today, the school gave a program for TEACH using Maya dance, costumes and music.

The TEACH Delegation visited the Tameja Basico School and the Q'oto Ha' Primary School. Both schools are a 40 minute boat ride on the Rio Dulce from the town of the same name. The last leg of the trip is a 30 minute ride on a pitted and uneven dirt road in the back of a truck to the Village of Tameja.
